Extreme Led Sheep Art - Samsung

Another great viral from the London based Viral Factory, a continuation of their work for Samsung. The video has been out for more than a week already but people doesn't seem to stop talking about it. I have met the guys a few times, particularly during my stay in London. When you see their office and have the chance to talk to them it is easy to understand how they get these crazy ideas. Despite their very serious 360 approach and strategic thinking, the team is very fun to be around and this is reflected in their projects.

Vodafone - RC Office Grand Prix

Not the best viral I have seen but the fact that a lot of people is still debating over the credibility of a bluetooth controlled car means that it did its job.

There is no recognizable "WOW" effect, the one you usually find in good virals, but the subject of the video is quite appealing for a lot of people. So this means that even with a mediocre viral, if you manage to find your audience you will be successful.

I suppose the agency behind this is BBH. However, if you have more news, let me know about it.

Samsung - Drag and Drop World

Nice Viral from the Viral Factory for the Samsung F480. The animation is well managed and there is even a green message along with the video. The video is not new but it is still worth a look. Funny how everything gets colonized in the end. You're always better at home...

T-Mobile Dance

New Viral created by Saatchi & Saatchi for T-Mobile. 400 dancers in Liverpool street station at 11:00am? Very impressive. The TV ad came out the following day on UK TV and this video is currently being viralized around the world. Despite the strong branding in the end and the small but still annoying advertisement sign on the bottom left of the screen, they have done a really good work in convincing such a big brand. It's never easy.

Ebay - Bush's gift for Xmas

For the people who have been hanging out with me these last weeks, they will quickly understand why it hurts me to see this video. Yes, I had a similar idea. No, I didn't do anything about it. Like most of the ideas I come up with, it ended up in a notebook and will probably never get out of there. It's ok though.

"Chapeau" to BBDO proximity (apparently their Belgium office) for reacting so fast on a current event and using it in advertising.

Nokia N96 - Bruce Lee Ping Pong

I guess I am all about virals these days. Here is another entertaining one for Nokia starring Bruce Lee. It is for a limited edition Nokia phone that comes with a doll, rare photos and a nunchaku. It will be sold in Hong Kong. The comments around the Web remind us that Bruce Lee is still seen today as coming from another planet. I am quite doubtful concerning ping pong balls not being blown up by a nunchaku hit, and yet people keep asking if this is real or not...

Another question remains: Would Mr. Lee be proud of this?

I would! but that's just me...

Bike Hero

Fresh Viral from Droga5 for Guitar Hero World Tour. Right after Heidi Klum's freak out, we now witness one of the most creative videos on the Net. I wonder how long it took to prepare everything. Apparently it's fake but I still love the idea, and the result. Watch it here

We have already talked about Droga5 in a previous post concerning a famous presidential plane. You'll find the article here (In French)

Nissan Qashqai: Qashqai Car Games

Saw the Nissan Qashqai ad on TV the other day. This second wave comes after TBWA designed a succesful integrated communication campaign in 2007 to celebrate the launch of the new Nissan Qashqai (anyone knows how to correctly pronounce this unpronounceable word?).
The strategy included two waves. The first one, with online content, virals, PR, and ambient marketing aimed at preparing the field for the second wave that included the TV ad. And to be honest, I believe the first wave worked better.

Before the airing of the first TV ad (Spring of 2007), the first wave reached 212 countries and was shown on 4370 sites. In the first month, the campaign attracted over 3.5 million views, rising to 12.5 million after three months.

TBWA created a fictional new sport, Qashqai car games:
"[…] we had to create an entire universe around the sport – everything that would make it seem real and entertaining: the history, the rules, 6 national teams, logos, crazy drivers, psychotic fans, sponsors, specifications, merchandise, as well as a footage of the QASHQAI performing fantastic stunts off giant ‘skate’ ramps."  Jamie Bristow, TBWA London

Nouvelle campagne digitale Axe/Lynx

Burger King: Whopper Freakout
